Yintai Centre, Chengdu China
A new 6 million sqft mixed-use development in Chengdu, China for an invited international competition with Yintai Holdings. The development is to become the focal point of the new Financial Headquarters Business District and is set to become the core of the new Tianfu City, with a focus on finance, business and administration.
The scheme sought to draw the large landscaped area, to the south of the plot, into the development site by wrapping the gardens up and over the large 5-storey podium, predominantly housing retail uses. Above the podium three 50+ storey towers, with smaller horizontally projecting blocks, contain a series of other uses including a 5-Star Hotel, apartments, serviced apartments and offices.
The scheme was designed and led by our Director Neil Brown, working with other members of MCAU’s team, whilst at Broadway Malyan Architects.
