Botany Hill

The Silk Street Manchester project reimagines affordable housing with a focus on sustainability, community, and a connection to the city’s rich industrial heritage. By transforming a brownfield site overlooking the Rochdale Canal, we are building more than just homes; we are weaving a tapestry of green living, social connection, and economic opportunity.

This project forms an extension of the wider Botany Bay Business Park, occupying a prominent site adjacent to our earlier phase of development at Junction 8 of the M61 alongisde the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

It responds to continued regional demand for high‑quality, flexible industrial space while reinforcing the coherence of the overall masterplan.

The scheme delivers over 300,000 sq ft of adaptable industrial accommodation, from smaller trade units to buildings of up to 30,000 sq ft, all designed to be flexible and adaptable.

A clear site layout and robust building forms prioritise efficient movement, ease of fit‑out and long‑term adaptability.

Sustainability is embedded throughout the design, with BREEAM targets and EV‑ready infrastructure supporting future‑focused performance. Together with the adjacent development, the project contributes to the ongoing regeneration of Botany Bay and strengthens Chorley’s role as a key industrial hub in the North West.
