The Baltic Triangle in Liverpool is an historic area on the edge of the city centre which has evolved into one of ‘the’ places to set up shop and hang out.
It is defined by historic warehousing and imaginative re-use of old buildings and has been claimed by a growing colony of dynamic people, entrepreneurs and digital and creative businesses.
We created a building of character and uniqueness enabling its residential community to evolve. It is a distinctive building whilst respecting the palette, scale, and character of its historic location.
A mixed-use scheme with a co-living focus has been designed, incorporating a substantial amount of shared community space, including roof terraces and rooftop urban garden with greenhouse and fruit trees, which is both recognisable and respectful to the Baltic area.
New commercial space at street level will help serve the growing demand for the area, and the conversion of an existing adjoining industrial warehouse building into a community theatre and café bar restaurant will create a vibrant development made up from a balanced mix of uses.
